About the role
Being an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Babcock is no ordinary job. You'll contribute to our growth by driving projects that enhance profitability and project cash flow.

On a daily basis, you'll enhance your commercial skills, industry knowledge, and strengthen client relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide comprehensive commercial services from contract initiation to completion.
  • Prepare change control and payment applications in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely submission of change controls as per contract requirements.
  • Manage costs, cash flow, change controls, and claims.

This role offers flexibility, with the option for full-time or part-time work, consisting of 35 hours per week, including hybrid work arrangements with three days in the office and two days remote.

We may offer agile working options in some cases, promoting fairness and meeting business needs. Flexible working arrangements like part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing are possible. Feel free to inquire about alternative work patterns during the interview.

Requirements for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor

  • Quantity surveying experience or knowledge.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in contract management, preferably with NEC contracts.
  • Understanding of Company and customer requirements.

Qualifications for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification.
