We are looking for a part-time Receptionist to join our Wadhurst Medical Group team for 16 hours per week, to provide a specialist resource for patients within our practice in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.


Job responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients, booking appointments, answering the phone.
  • Processing repeat prescriptions.
  • Liaising with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Scanning post and other documents.
  • Ensuring efficient service delivery to patients.
  • Participating in the staff duty rota and demonstrating flexibility to provide holiday cover for other members of the reception team.
  • Occasional evening and weekend cover to support the surgeries Enhance Access clinics and annual flu vaccination programme.
  • Working in a professional manner, maintaining diplomacy and confidentiality.
Previous experience working in a GP practice is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Sussex Primary Care (SPC) manage several GP surgeries across Sussex.

The business is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) and was set up to support GP practices looking for a different way of working, forming a unique and innovative partnership between GP services and NHS Community Services.
