JOB SUMMARY

To ensure all guest floors, corridors, stairways, fire exits, service areas and service rooms are maintained to the standards set by the Executive Housekeeper.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience:

  • Previous experience working within a Housekeeping or similar environment preferred

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education or Certification

  • Good level of English essential

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Report for work ensuring appearance and presentation meets the required standard. (grooming standards)
  • Actively participate in the daily briefings, spirittoserve, and 15 minute training sessions.
  • Collect work allocation sheet, floor keys, pager and cleaning rags from the Housekeeping office and Security at your appointed start time. Ensure you sign in for keys, pager and cleaning rags.
  • At all times noise should be kept to a minimum, as guests may be asleep.
  • Rooms with a "Do not disturb" card should not be knocked on, entered or telephoned. The only department allowed to call guests in their rooms regarding checkout is Front Office.
  • Carry out requests given by the Housekeeping Supervisor or received by the Espresso system, such as extra beds, extra pillows, baby cot etc. Assist with changing the bed configuration (twin/ king).
  • Ensure that all guest requests are met with prompt and courteous manner.
  • Ensure proper use of the linen chute, as explained in HK LSOP#5, _'Linen Chute'. _Ensure all linen chute access panels are opened at the start of your shift.
  • Check your respective store and linen cupboards and ensure they are well stocked at all times.
  • Remove all rubbish from your respective Housekeeping areas on a frequent basis, and dispose of in the appropriate compactor. Ensure recycling procedures are being followed.
  • Remove soiled linen from linen cupboards on the guest floors and transport to the linenroom. Ensure soiled linen is separated from clean linen at all times.
  • Clean your respective corridors, including skirting boards, A/C exhausts, fire exit signs, etcetera.
  • Clean/ scrub the store and linen cupboards on your respective floors.
  • Ensure all store cupboards are closed and locked at all times, as per HK LSOP#4, _'Closing and Locking Cupboards'. _Ensure all store cupboard doors are closed and locked before going off duty.
  • Before going off duty, conduct a floor walk and ensure that all guest corridors are cleared of glasses, room service trays, trolleys and rubbish.
  • Before going off duty, remove all rubbish from your respective Housekeeping areas and dispose of in the appropriate compactor.
  • Return your
