Kitchen Assistant

We need a Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team in the preparation of nutritious meals for our residents to enjoy.

You will become part of a team who take pride in delivering good, nutritious food in a pleasant and homely environment

Your role will be

  • To assist with the preparation of tea trolleys ensuring they are well equipped/stocked and delivered to a specific member of staff and not left unattended.
  • To liaise with all staff to ensure that individual residents' needs are met on a daily basis.
  • To maintain a hygienic environment in the kitchen at all times including:
  • Regular cleaning of all areas, as per Cleaning Rota.
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher, ensuring the dishwasher is kept clean.
  • Wash up equipment unsuitable for dishwasher.
  • Empty kitchen waste and keep bin clean.
  • Attend all Health & Safety and COSHH training updates as required to ensure safe practices are adhered to at all times.
You will need to have a PVG (Disclosure Scotland) and we will meet the full cost of this, and we have training courses available to assist with your career

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 27 per week

Salary:
From £9.50 per hour
