TBC Main duties of the job Provision of psychological assessment and support for mental health and stress-related symptoms and difficulties, and managerial, supervisory and administrative support in the daily running of the PSC service, with specific responsibility for the PSP provision.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities Responsible for providing administrative support in the daily running of the PSC service to include processing referrals, maintaining the service database, managing practitioner diaries and responding to enquiriesResponsible for the ongoing development of PSP knowledge and skills through the delivery of specialist advice, training, supervisory support and promotion of an environment in which effective clinical practice is fostered.

This will also include formal clinical supervision of PSPs and case management of PSPs.

To demonstrate leadership qualities through collaborative working, setting direction and by providing a positive, responsive and compassionate role model to PSC staff and colleaguesExercise personal responsibility for the systematic clinical governance of your own professional practice.

Responsible for providing confidential assessment and support to staff within UHD presenting with mental health and stress-related difficulties.
Supporting clients to access the appropriate level and type of support for their presentation.
Deliver short-term structured support interventions for a range of presenting difficulties.
Deliver and support PSPs in their delivery of short-term structured support interventions for a range of presenting difficulties.
Promote and represent the PSC service throughout the Trust and to external services as appropriate.

Person specification Experience Essential criteria Experience of using semi-structured clinical interviews in the assessment of mental health and wellbeing in adults with anxiety, depression, trauma and/or stress-related difficultiesExperience of conducting assessments of suicide and self-harm risk, developing risk management plansExperience of working with or for the NHS or with an understanding of local health and wellbeing landscape Qualifications Essential criteria Qualification in any of the following (or an equivalent BSC(Hons) degree at 2:1 or above):
  • Degree in Psychology with GBR (2:1 or above)
  • Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (post grad cert or level 3 undergrad course)
  • Qualified graduate mental health practitioner
  • Qualified mental health nurse (2:1 or above) Desirable criteria Postgraduate training and/or qualification in psychology or other mental health / wellbeing related disciplineMembership or registration with a recognised body i.
e. BPS, BABCP, BACP, UKCPFurther training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Activation or similar
