About the Role

Join our team at Nessa as a skilled and seasoned Restaurant Floor Manager. In this role, you will oversee the smooth and efficient functioning of the restaurant floor. Your responsibilities will include ensuring exceptional customer service, coordinating with staff members, and fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere. You will report directly to the Restaurant General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the restaurant floor staff.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and surpass guest expectations.
  • Manage and coordinate restaurant floor operations during shifts, guaranteeing timely seating, accurate order taking, efficient food delivery, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining area in adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication, prompt food preparation, and precise order delivery.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive outcome and customer contentment.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new restaurant floor staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer regular feedback to team members, recognizing and addressing areas for growth.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor supply inventory levels, including tableware and condiments, and coordinate replenishment with relevant departments.
  • Work with management on marketing initiatives, promotions, and events to boost customer traffic and revenue.
  • Adhere to financial targets and budgets, optimizing costs while upholding service standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competitors to suggest improvements for enhanced performance and customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Restaurant Floor Manager or in a comparable supervisory role in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities to motivate and cultivate a team.
  • Excellent customer service focus and adeptness in resolving complaints effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff and customers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
