MagiKats Maths and English Maldon is a newly established family run tuition centre in Tollesbury Essex.


MagiKats offers in person tuition for children aged 4-16 years in both maths and English in a small group format.

Children complete worksheets, activities and games that develop their knowledge and skills in line with the national curriculum. They also use these activities to develop their thinking, resilience and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Helping to set up resources for the workshops.
  • Overseeing completion of tasks set by the centre principal.
  • Demonstrating to children how to complete specific work and activities.
  • Giving feedback to the principal on children's work and any concerns.
  • Preparation of resources when not actively involved a workshop.
  • Helping to pack away at the end of the workshops.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Strong knowledge of maths and English to GCSE level preferably to grade 7 or equivalent.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work with children between the ages of 4 and 16 years.
  • Be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check (paid for by MagiKats)
  • Hours are 3.30PM to 6.30pm on Mondays with an opportunity for additional hours to cover staff holidays and sickness on other days.
  • Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience but meets national living wage requirements and will be discussed at interview.
The tuition centre is situated in the beautiful village of Tollesbury with free parking on site.

£7.00-£12.00 per hour
