If so, Moxie is working with an incredible charity that empowers people to break the cycles of crime and addiction to reach their potential.


We're recruiting for a temporary Housing Interventions Worker, who will help this purpose-led charity to kick-start a new Her Majesties Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) commissioned service in South Wales.


Working between your home and the Merthyr probation office, you will initially be offered a short-term temporary contract, which has the potential to lead to a contract extension and the possibility of permanent employment.


Your objective as a Housing Interventions Worker:

Working as part of a team, you will empower those serving community sentences, or custodial sentences less than 6 months to address and overcome barriers to securing and sustaining accommodation.


What's on offer?

  • Hourly rate: £14.72 (£12.86 p/hr + £1.87 holiday) (£515.20 p/week before deductions)
  • Hours: 35 per week; Mon to Fri (you'll benefit from a fully flexible schedule, allowing you to work around your own personal commitments)
  • Location: Home-Based / Merthyr Probation Office
  • Contract duration: Up to 2 months (potential for extension)
  • Start date: Immediately / Short notice

Housing Intervention Worker - Role Requirement:

  • Experience of providing advice services to clients on welfare benefits and housing/re-housing etc.
  • An ability to manage a large caseload and work in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience of assessing adults in need of support around housing and social support and/or substance misuse
  • Experiencing of constructing support plans for clients in need of housing support to support them in maintaining their tenancy
  • Strong case management skills
