The Group Manager Applications Engineer manages an application engineering team of 6-10 engineers while interfacing with Design, Test , Product and Marketing Engineering with a focus on customer application related tasks for new and existing products.

Experience with analog and digital circuit analysis, with modelling and simulation tool experience(SIMPLIS, LTSPICE, System Verilog, etc)
Experience and knowledge with automation utilizing Python or LabView is a plus.
Support customer applications and product development to support the sales of RENESAS Portable Power integrated circuits.
Provide input and help prototype new product definition.
Experience with cross-team collaboration to drive and influence product planning and validation plan.
BSEE or equivalent working experience.
~Strong knowledge of circuit design, power system design and PC based software.
~ Strong Analog circuit design skills and Digital hardware design skills.
~ Reasonable proficiency writing simple non-production code in a high level language such as C++, C#, Python
~ Significant experience directing or performing layout of high frequency DC-DC switching converters using Cadence or equivalent software.
~ Good writing, technical drawing and verbal communications skills are mandatory for writing product datasheets, documenting lab reports and creating product application notes.
~ Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, spectrum/network analyzers and other common lab instruments with NI LabView software control.
~ Working knowledge of printed circuit board layout and fabrication as well as electronic assembly practices.
