About The Role:

This role is based on-site, at our head office in Barton Upon Humber.

As the Head of Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our procurement strategy.

Your primary focus will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Your exceptional leadership and strategic thinking will be crucial in fostering strong supplier relationships and optimising our purchasing processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support in achieving departmental and organisational targets.
  • Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential suppliers.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities without compromising quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations throughout the procurement process.


In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

About You:

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proven experience as a Head of Buying, Procurement, or Purchasing, with a track record of success in managing largescale procurement operations.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a datadriven decisionmaking approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree and relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) are advantageous.
