We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Senior Finance & Procurement Officerfor a well-established forward-thinking client in the Swindon area.
You will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance and will be working closely with the Head of Finance, the rest of the finance team and the wider organisation to ensure the Financeservice is at the forefront of supporting the organisation.
This is a Permanent Full-time position.Main Duties:
- To supervise the financial administration and transaction processing for Education Provision (EPs) undertaken by the Finance Officer (FO) team, including grant funding receipting, purchase order / invoice processing, sales invoice processing, petty cashand credit card transactions.
- Lead the Finance Officers (FO's), ensuring they are informed, developed and motivated to meet the required quality standards, deadlines and targets.
- Main point of contact for development, review and improvement of Brunel's Procurement and Competitive Tendering policy. Contribute to the development and implementation of new arrangements, such as supporting reviews of procurement processes, in line withBrunel's Finance policy.
- Prepare reports and statistical information on procurement issues, as requested, to evidence and support decision and analyse levels of spend across departments and EPs and help identify areas for possible savings.
- Monitor and review procurement activities undertaken by EPs in Brunel to ensure they fulfil the ongoing requirements of the EP and comply with Brunel's Procurement and Competitive Tendering Policy, Financial Regulations and Scheme of Delegation
