We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Post-16 Lead to oversee our new Post-16 provision. The Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and personal development of our students. You will be passionate about teaching and meeting the needs of our SEND and SEMH young people.

You will be passionate about teaching and have a strong commitment to helping our students to prepare for their future careers in adult life.


You will provide guidance and support to other staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional teaching and learning and guarantee that the individual needs of every student are being met.


What will the job entail?

  • Lead and manage the Post16 provision, providing mentorship, supervision and support for your team
  • Develop and implement a cohesive curriculum that aligns with educational standards and student needs
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Maths/English Functional Skills, Employability and Life Skills
  • Actively seek opportunities for work experience, apprenticeships, volunteering for the students
  • Assess student progress
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages engagement and success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop cohesive teaching strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Adapt teaching methods to support students with additional needs
  • Support with student transitions into apprenticeships/jobs
  • To ensure outstanding safeguarding practice and actively promote the welfare of all students.

Your responsibilities


You will have responsibility for the education and safety of students whilst in your care and the responsibility of managing and maintaining the Post-16 Provision.


You will need:

  • Level 5 in Education and Training or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years' experience working with SEND and SEMH young people
- supervision, team leading or management experience in an educational setting.
