Do you strive to make a difference? Goaco is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Finance and Operations Senior Executive to join our team. The Senior Executive will provide crucial support in various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations for the several companies under the company group.
This position will involve working closely with the Head of Finance, to handle financial transactions, maintain records, assist in operations, and assist in financial analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for working in a fast-paced finance environment.
The Job
As a Finance and Operations Senior Executive, the responsibilities include (and not limited to):
Assist in financial transactions:
- Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims.
- Verify and reconcile financial documents and transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting system (Xero).
Support accounts payable and receivable functions:
- Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Process and record incoming payments and invoices.
- Prepare and distribute statements and follow up on outstanding payments.
Assist in financial reporting and analysis:
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist in identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct data entry and maintain financial records:
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry of financial information into the accounting system.
- Organise and maintain financial records, files, and documentation.
- Assist in maintaining an effective filing system for financial documents.
- Assist in the preparation of financial documents, presentations, and reports.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
About You
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential.
- AAT qualified or working towards similar.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, processes, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
