  • We are delighted this year to be able to offer a 12week Summer Internship from June to September 2023, specialising in Risk Management.
  • What might life look like as a Risk Management Intern?
  • Scottish Water's Summer Internship scheme will give you a taste of what it feels like to work in one of the largest water companies in the world.
  • This role will be located The Bridge, Stepps. As a hybrid role you will not be required in the office on a daily basis, but we often work in The Bridge on a Wednesday.
  • Depending on your placement, you may be involved in:
  • Supporting the understanding and development of Scottish Water most significant and strategic risks, ensuring appropriate proactive management of business risks;-
  • Supporting the effective and efficient delivery of the programme of works in accordance with Scottish Water's PMO risk management framework

You will do this by:

  • Enabling better compliance and risk data capture, as well as timely risk reporting to enable senior management to make informed decisions
  • Supporting the risk team(s) to present accurate information to business/project managers in relation to increasing risk maturity and understanding their risk profile
  • Supporting in the capture of data produced within the business and interpret and present and feedback into the business to capitalise on continuous improvement and development in the area of risk management.
  • You will be working with some of SW's key stakeholders for the reporting of risk across the organisationThis is a paid summer internship, with the salary being £21,053 (prorata for the 12week period).
  • You will be studying towards a degree in Risk Management or a comparable discipline.
