Trainee Mechanical Inspector


Our client is a precision engineering company providing high quality vacuum products and services for customers in science and semiconductor industry.

They are currently looking for a

Trainee Mechanical Inspector to join their team in Hailsham.


At their new, purpose-built manufacturing facility, our client entered an exciting new phase in their development as they embark on an ambitious expansion programme.


As their Trainee Mechanical Inspector, you will be taught how to:

  • Measure and visually inspect components and assemblies to drawing.
  • Test and validate components and assemblies using a variety of test equipment.
  • Visually inspect welds.
  • Ensure any defects and features not to specification are identified and recorded.
  • Visually inspect finished goods to ensure compliance to specification.

This is a trainee position and therefore we do not expect any experience in Inspection however you must have:

  • Experience working in a busy machine shop, assembly or manufacturing.
  • A qualification, or interest in achieving one, in mechanical engineering.
