Salary:
  • Paying £14.14ph basic with an 8% shift premium

  • overall rate is £15.

27ph:

  • Salary has potential to rise to £16.71ph with 8% premium overall rate being £18.04ph

Shifts:

Working 37 hours on a two shift system, Days and Afternoons rotating weekly.

Duties:

  • To make cores up to 60T
  • To make moulds up to 650T
  • Basic slinging duties
  • Be able to manage their own work load during their shift and manage their own break times.
  • Must be able to work at height (deep pits and core boxes).
  • Work to and reviewing safe working procedures and risk assessments.
  • Take a keen interest in lean, quality and safety improvements.
  • Working safe at all times
  • Be involved in the casting process
  • Work to values and behaviours.
  • Must keep on top of housekeeping duties in their work areas ensuring they are to the standards expected prior to starting and also leaving them to the standards expected at the end of their shift.
  • Must be agile and willing to help out when/where required
  • Apprentice trained moulder/core maker
  • Experienced moulder core / maker
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering method drawings
  • Previous experience in a Foundry
  • Being able to maintain a high level of health and safety for themselves & other
  • Being able to effectively manage daily & weekly work activity
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Understanding of the environmental implications of the role and take steps to ensure the required standards are met.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends and unsociable hours when necessary
