What you will need to succeed in this role

You will:

  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues associated with domestic abuse and its effect on the individuals and their children.
  • Have experience of advocacy, working with individuals in difficult situations and working collaboratively with other agencies.
  • Be comfortable in working with people in crisis and be confident to work with survivors to support them to build their selfesteem and confidence to improve wellbeing
  • Be confident to participate in the delivery of group work to survivors
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated, flexible, available to travel and to participate in our on call, 24 hour rota.

  • Have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with survivors, the team and partners.

  • You'll need to be a great team player and able to take on responsibility.
