This role involves collaborating with a prominent Engineering services company in the UK, which has recently secured a major contract encompassing various commercial buildings in Cornwall and South Devon regions. The sites range from offices and libraries to other public establishments.
As the Mobile Electrician, your main responsibilities will include conducting Electrical Services in multiple commercial buildings throughout Cornwall and South Devon. Your tasks will entail Planned Maintenance (PPMs), Reactive maintenance, M&E repairs, and addressing minor fabric repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhering to set engineering standards for PPM.
- Complying with Health & Safety regulations and company safety protocols.
- Addressing Reactive Works encompassing Electrical and minor fabric issues.
- Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rotation.
- Accurate and timely completion of paperwork as per company policies.
- Providing engineering condition reports and quotations.
- Conducting logbook audits.
- Maintaining good customer relations.
Technical Skills / Knowledge:
- Demonstrating proficiency in primary trade competencies with valid certification.
- Delivering excellence in service.
- Having a reasonable grasp and proactive approach towards supplementary trade skills.
Electrical:
- Competent in Fault finding, 18th Edition, C&G 2330 levels 2 & 3, NVQ levels 2&3, and C&G 2391 Test & Inspection (Desirable).
- PAT testing, electrical servicing, and basic control mechanisms.
Fabric:
- Basic carpentry skills like door hanging and shelf erecting, internal furniture repairs, and exterior fixtures maintenance.
- Emergency leak repairs and gutter cleaning.
Miscellaneous:
- Conducting meter readings, emergency light testing, water temperature recordings, and alarm testing.
Qualifications / Person Specification:
- ESSENTIAL
- Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Installations.
- DESIRABLE
- Test & Inspection 2391 or 2394/5.
- Basic building/fabric skills such as plumbing or carpentry knowledge.
