Cardiff, Cardiff, United Kingdom Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Full time
The University Hospital of Wales (UHW) is looking to recruit a Specialist Clinical Physiologist to join our neurophysiology team.

We provide electrodiagnostic tests for a range of referrers, covering adults and paediatrics in both inpatient and outpatient clinics at UHW and sister departments in the Cwm Taf University Health Board.

Tests include many modalities of EEG (routine, portable, ambulatory, sleep-deprived, melatonin-induced sleep, continuous monitoring, video EEG telemetry & MSLT), nerve conduction studies, evoked potentials (SSEP & VEP) and electroretinography.

We are always looking to develop our service and so would welcome engaged and passionate people to move us forward.

In this vein, we have regular educational meetings where participation is encouraged with other departments within the hospital.

To perform neurodiagnostic tests

Multiple modalities of EEG (routine, portable, ambulatory, melatonin-induced sleep) in adult and train in paediatric EEG. Train to be proficient in video EEG telemetry & MSLT).

Continue training in nerve conduction studies, with physiologist led clinics for CT and more advanced clinics following more advanced training.

Continue training and development in evoked potentials (SSEP & VEP), electroretinography and visual fields testing.

Tests would require reports completed and at times discussion with our Consultants.

Support the training of our students in Neurophysiological testing.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
