£12.50 per hour

Hours :8am until 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and Operate Capstan lathe safely and effectively
  • Observing machine operations to detect work piece defects, making any adjustments as needed
  • Understanding blueprints and technical instructions
  • Working to precise measurements, carrying out measurements using verniers
  • Setting and calibrating EMI MEC and Capstan machines
  • Running CNC machines as well as operating saws
  • Setting and running press machines
  • Installing and adjusting a variety of drills, cutters, dies and holding devices
  • Booking in materials required for jobs
  • Cooperate with employer on OH&S training and guidance
  • Monitor coolant levels and top up as required
  • Be able to set up and Operate Polybox
  • Set and operate Tangi flow Roller Box attachment
  • Set and Operate Fette heads

Essential Skills

  • Two years experience working within a fasteners industry as a Capstan Setter Operator
  • Knowledge of Setting up Landis die heads
  • Experience with Drilling and Broaching
  • Read and interpret Engineering drawings
  • Ability to learn quickly with excellent attention to detail
