We are now looking for experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses to join us to contribute to the continued development of the service, enhancing the patient journey and working within supportive teams to deliver the best care. The post is based at Whitehills, Forfar and you will be part of an Integrated Community Mental Health Service which forms part of Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.

You will have a broad range of experience of working with people who have mental health needs and difficulties and be committed to improving the lives of people who use our service.

Applicants should demonstrate leaderships skills as the ability to manage designated staff and lead change within the service is required for this role.

The successful candidate will receive a robust induction programme alongside ongoing supportive clinical and managerial supervision. Your professional development will be supported through internal and external training, structured reviews, and the support of a multi-disciplinary team.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to consider arranging an informal visit to the team to learn more about how this post can provide opportunities for clinical and leadership skills development.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
