A school in Edgbaston are looking for a talented Drama teacher who is capable of instilling students with confidence to enjoy and utilise the benefits that drama education can bring.

This is a full time role, due to start in September 2024, at a vibrant and inclusive secondary school with a supportive Head Teacher and Arts Department.

With access to well-equipped drama studios and a stage in the school hall, you will have the resources needed to bring your lesson plans to life and create memorable performances.


Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach engaging lessons that motivate the students in your subject and cater to the needs of diverse learners
  • Mark and assess students work and track student progression
  • Have excellent curriculum knowledge that continues to develop particularly the new and engaging ways to teach Drama as the subject continues to evolve.
  • Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
