Job Description:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and policies to maintain a safe and legally compliant working environment.
  • Support the Stores Team leader with capacity planning and prioritisation of inspection requirements.
  • Undertake source inspections of Ultra goods at supplier sites, enabling onward direct deliveries / receipt into Ultra storage.
  • Utilise equipment such as callipers, verniers, and micrometres to accurately measure components and materials.
  • Inspect raw materials, electrical components, fabricated metal, and purchased assemblies, comparing them to engineering schematics and customer requirements.
  • Record and document inspection results in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Ensure receipt paperwork complies with Certificate of Conformity and requested Quality requirements.
  • Scan and attach receipt paperwork to the WMS, while filing hard copies as necessary.
  • Retain and retrieve test and inspection records as required.
  • Arbitrate on the fitness for purpose of materials and implement the rejection procedure if necessary.
  • Advise and assist Supply Chain, QHSE, and Manufacturing departments on nonconformances and onsite rectification.
  • Support Purchasing and Planning departments in addressing nonconformances or issues.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to improve the throughput process and identify underperforming suppliers or supply processes.
  • Arrange for the removal and storage of incoming goods, accompanied by appropriate paperwork.
  • Ensure proper checking, location, and logging of goods in the appropriate stores area using the WMS.
  • Assist with other stores functions, including but not limited to: The safe unloading of materials, receipting of deliveries, organising transport, picking & kitting items, packing and dispatching goods, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
  • Assist with stocktake preparation and conduct ongoing and annual stock checks.

Required:

  • Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Experience in a comparable role utilising the same tools within a similar industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to contribute effectively to a team and consistently promote teamwork.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE Grade C/4 Math's & English or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • FLT/Reach truck qualified.
  • Overhead Crane qualified.
  • PC literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP and WMS systems (such as IFS).
  • Awareness of ESD.
  • IPC 610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies certified.
  • IPC 620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies certified.
