Catering Staff

We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant/Cook in our 30 bed Residential Care Home in the Two Gates area of Tamworth, supporting elderly residents, some of whom have dementia.


You will be required to plan, prepare and serve a nutritious lunch to our 30 residents, including any who have specialist diets i.e.

puree, mince and moist (early shift).

You will also be expected to deal with delivery orders, complete all kitchen opening and closing checks, and ensure that the kitchen is cleaned at the end of your shift before handing over to the evening staff.


Previous experience of working in a care home is preferred, and knowledge of specialist diets would be a distinct advantage.

You must also be in good health, reliable, have a good work ethic, and a caring and supporting nature to ensure that our residents are treated with respect and their needs are met.

The successful applicant will work weekends 9.30 till 6.00pm (some flexibility available around these times). You may also be expected to cover for the head cook during annual leave.
