Job Title: Senior Assembly Technician

Metalis has partnered with a metrology engineering company seeking a skilled Senior Assembly Technician for a regular day shift.

Role Overview: The Assembly Technician/Fitter will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of various vision and optical products. Attention to detail and a focus on quality are crucial to meet the high standards of this product line.

Role Details:

  • Part of the Production (optical & vision) team
  • Reports to the Production Lead (Optical & Vision)
  • No direct reports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components following established procedures
  • Build various Electrical/Mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Work in compliance with ISO 9001 and company procedures
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy

Requirements for Candidates:

  • Formal mechanical or manufacturing engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a high-precision environment
  • Ability to interpret technical/engineering drawings
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Methodical and logical approach to work
  • Good understanding of computer software
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Strong work ethic and continuous improvement mindset
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area

Working Hours: Mon - Thurs 07:45-16:30 & Fri 07:45-12:45
