We are Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and our Head of PMO will be a pivotal role within the organisation, based within the Royal Academy of Improvement.

You will be well-versed in the skills needed to lead and negotiate; you will have a proven improvement approach to sharpen our focus on effectiveness and efficiency - all with our patients at the centre of what we do.


Whilst the usual PMO role of tracking progress and holding deliverables to account are key requirements of the job, we want you to facilitate and lead workshops across the organisation to continuously identify and progress the actions that make a difference.

You will be out & about across the Trust.


We're on a journey to embed a culture of improvement across our teams, over 140 colleagues have completed QSIR training and your role will be essential to supporting this culture development.

QSIR training delivery experience is beneficial but not essential as we will support you to meet this requirement.

With our new Urgent and Emergency Care building opening in 2023, it's a great time to work with us to influence and shape project delivery.


You will be responsible for influencing quality and efficiency across all parts of the Trust, which includes the usual divisions and teams you would expect in a DGH and those you wouldn't - primary care (Royal Primary Care) and CAMHS are two services we also provide here too.


The Head of PMO is part of the collaborative ICS PMO resource, and you will be ensuring CRH plays its part as an active partner across the Integrated Care System, sharing learning & good ideas, and adopting those from elsewhere.

Mentorship, coaching and leadership development is accessible if you're looking to step up into this senior role along with close working relationships with the senior leadership team.

The Royal Academy of Improvement is a welcoming teamresponsible for facilitating and leading improvements and transformation.

The reason the role is fixed term or a secondment is because our previous post holder was promoted to project manage our new Urgent Care build which is on a fixed term contract basis until December 2023.
