Our Adult Community Services team in Cardiff focuses on supporting individuals over the age of with physical disabilities and older people, offering services that cater to their needs from the first point of contact with Adult Social Services.

Working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapy and Health colleagues, we aim to find the best solutions to support individuals in achieving their objectives.

Our partnerships with home care providers and residential care homes ensure that a wide range of care options are available to meet each individual's specific needs.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking qualified Social Workers who are early in their career and eager to gain experience within Cardiff Council.

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, demonstrate excellent assessment skills, and possess strong communication, organization, and IT skills.

A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Care Wales are essential for this role.

You will be supported by experienced social workers, receive mentorship, and guidance for career development within the team.

We are looking for individuals dedicated to supporting older people and those with disabilities, working in a strength-based and preventative manner to help them achieve their goals.

You must have a strong commitment to strength-based approaches, outcome-focused work, and ongoing professional development.

Individuals should be advocates for equality and inclusion for all citizens.

A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification and registration with Social Care Wales are mandatory for this position.
