Business Analyst - Pensions Project: £500-£550 a day negotiable (inside IR35)

Initial 5 month contract position, with likely extension, to join the team in a large government programme.
Immediate start, based remotely from anywhere in the UK

The Role:


Our client requires a Business Analyst to join a team that will build out a KPI driven performance framework to measure the metrics for the effectiveness of pensions processes offered by UK Government.


The project has recently been launched and now requires an analysis of key metrics and data points to measure the effectiveness of the pensions processes and areas for improvement.


This role will involve working within a wider team which will include a Project Delivery Manager and specialist resources for Change, Data Strategy and KPI/Performance Analysts amongst others.

This is very much a business-focussed role rather than a technology-focussed role.

Skills and Experience Required:
Subject matter knowledge of pensions, predominantly state pensions is required
A strong background in Business Analysis
Can confidently elicit and define detailed user stories & robust acceptance criteria
Collaboratively supports the prioritisation of the backlog with

the Product Owner
Facilitates workshops, stakeholder interviews and document analysis, as well as working closely with other members of the team to develop a shared understanding of current processes
Drives investigative work to identify gaps, potential ways to validate assumptions, exception cases and relevant business processes
Experience with Business Case preparation is a bonus
Government/GDS experience
Able to engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, owning the 1-2-1 relationships with peer team BAs
A strong influencer, capable of making clear recommendations as part of their craft
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
The ability to communicate exceptionally via videoconferencing is essential, to deliver meetings, presentations and reviews.

Due to the sensitive nature of the client environment, Baseline Security Clearance (BPSS) will be required.

Applicants will need to be located in the UK and have a work history of at least 3 years that is checkable.
