Casual Relief Worker

As a Casual Relief Worker you will assist and encourage the person that you support to become an integrated member of their local community; promoting physical and social participation.
mirus is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, working in partnership with the people they support, their families and other partners, to deliver high quality, person-centred support services for people with a disability.
We have been supporting people in Wales for over 35 years and currently support over 350 people in ten different local authority areas.
What will you be doing?
- As part of the Support Worker team you will develop, implement, and review a range of individual support plans to enable the person that you will support to lead a fulfilling life.
- You will provide support with a range of tasks which may include household and domestic tasks, shopping, diet/food preparation, personal care, personal hygiene, dressing and personal appearance.
- As a Casual Relief Worker we will support you in studying towards your QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care, which is completely funded by mirus.
- You will work alongside other professionals such as care managers, community nurses and occupational therapists to deliver high quality support.
Hours of work?
***We ask that a Casual Relief Worker pick up a minimum of 13 shifts every 13 week period. A shift would include a sleep in/waking shift. As a Casual Relief Worker we will agree mutually suitable shifts between you and your Manager.
