London, Greater London, United Kingdom Wayve Technologies Ltd Full time
Who we are

Established in 2017, Wayve is a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, driven by breakthroughs in Embodied AI. Our intelligent, mapless, and hardware-agnostic technologies empower vehicles to navigate complex environments effortlessly.

Supported by prominent investors, Wayve is advancing the transition from assisted to fully automated driving, making transportation safer, more efficient, and universally accessible. Join our world-class, multinational team of engineers and researchers as we push the boundaries of frontier AI and autonomous driving, creating impactful technologies and products on a global scale

Where you will have an impact

As a Technical Program Lead working with our Software organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring our core development teams are able to ship the world's first AV2.0 Driver as an automotive product.

Working closely with Wayve's Engineering and Program leaders, you will enable our multi-disciplinary Software and Robotics teams to deliver automotive grade products.

In this role you will grow with the company and be critical in establishing what good delivery looks like across Wayve. You will also act as a coach to others in a delivery-mindset to help teams be self-sufficient in good practices and function better.

Challenges you will own
  • Driving the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of automotive software products, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards like ASPICE and ISO26262.
  • Representing Wayve in front of customers and lead automotive programs from the early stage of planning to production.
  • Collaborating with program managers, product managers, software engineers, and other teams to define clear program requirements, scope, and success criteria.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, identifying dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Driving effective communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders to ensure project progress, risks, and issues are properly addressed.
  • Tracking project milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitating cross-functional collaboration, ensuring clarity, alignment and synergy among different teams.
  • Identifying and resolving project-related issues and risks, proactively addressing any obstacles to project success.
  • Leading regular program reviews and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders, addressing any program-related issues, risks, and challenges.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging lessons learned from previous programs to enhance future project execution.

This role will be based in our London King's Cross HQ, but we are open to discussing hybrid roles for the right candidate.

What you will bring to Wayve
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager for ADAS, L2 or L3 programs and successfully shipped automotive software to production.
  • You have a strong technical background, with a solid understanding of AD systems and software stacks.
  • You have worked at a Tier1 or OEM and are familiar with the lifecycle of automotive series programs from planning to production.
  • You have a deep understanding of software development methodologies, with a track record of leading software programs using agile or iterative approaches.
  • You are familiar with ASPICE and ISO26262
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • You have exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage resources effectively, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You get energy from enabling and coaching others.
  • You have a bias for action and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities.
  • You are deeply curious about building something new and relish the idea of helping to define AV2.0 and how we build it.
  • You consider yourself to have an optimistic and open-minded attitude towards solving problems and want to take on the challenge of AVs: the space-race of our generation

This is our ideal candidate, but by no means the only candidate; we all have different strengths. If you don't match 100% but believe you could do the job well, we would love to hear from you.

What we offer you
  • The chance to be part of a truly mission driven organisation and an opportunity to shape the future of autonomous driving. Unlike our competitors, Wayve is still relatively small and nimble, giving you the chance to make a huge impact
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • A dynamic and fast-paced work environment in which you will grow every day - learning on the job, from the brightest minds in our space, and with support for more formal learning opportunities too
  • A culture that is ego-free, respectful and welcoming (of you and your dog) - we even eat lunch together every day
  • Benefits such as anonsite chef, workplace nursery scheme, private health insurance, cycle scheme, therapy, yoga, two onsite bars, large social budgets
  • This is a full-time role based in our office in London. At Wayve we want the best of all worlds so we operate a hybrid working policy that combines time together in our offices and workshops to fuel innovation, culture, relationships and learning, and time spent working from home. We also operate core working hours so you can be where you need to be for family and loved ones too. Teams determine the routines that work best for them.

At Wayve we're committed to creating a diverse, fair and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives, and regardless of gender, gender identity, gender expression, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, ethnicity, age, religious belief, marital status, or any other legally protected status.

DISCLAIMER: We will not ask about marriage or pregnancy, care responsibilities or disabilities in any of our job adverts or interviews. However, we do look to capture information about care responsibilities, and disabilities among other diversity information as part of an optional DEI Monitoring form to help us identify areas of improvement in our hiring process and ensure that the process is inclusive and non-discriminatory.
