WHAT TO EXPECT

The opportunity sits within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing function which is within the People Chapter. The role is a highly responsible role, leading the business though the technical and legal requirements within the field of Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

In this exciting yet challenging position, you'll provide general advice on all aspects of Occupational Hygiene/Toxicology. You'll liaise with the wider engineering teams, manufacturing management as well as union representatives to ensure Occupational Hygiene aspects of current and future projects are considered and relevant controls are implemented. Other responsibilities will include:

Liaise with external authorities such as HSE and Local Environmental Health and the Environment Agency Provide Occupational Hygiene support to help those with chemical product stewardship with Materials Engineering responsibilities Provision of training courses on Hygiene and Tox Develop and present training courses on Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology, as appropriate Consultancy support to management / supervision on COSHH assessments etc

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Proven experience in an Occupational Hygiene role, with expertise within an organisation of size and risk profile. Minimum BOHS Certificate Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene Previous experience of a role within Hygiene with a proven track record of delivery of successful Hygiene solutions and interventions
