HR Business Leader – Digital & Tech

GSK has an exciting and ambitious purpose to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together. This is an exciting opportunity to join embedded HR team for Digital and Tech and support the achievement of our purpose, driving GSK's performance, and contributing to our ambitious ESG agenda.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting VP HRBL Digital and Tech to define and execute people strategy for Digital and Technology in addition to providing HRBL support for Commercial and CPO facing Tech teams. This role will involve partnering with identified Tech LT members and senior leaders to enable people priorities and cultivate a high-performing and thriving people culture. You will be responsible for both strategic and operational HR support, including organizational design, employee engagement, performance management, leadership & talent management (including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), reward, and workforce planning.

This position offers the role holder an outstanding opportunity to strengthen their skills as a HR Business Leader, to broaden and deepen their understanding in how Digital and Tech is supporting GSKs digital transformation and to make a significant contribution across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • This role will work directly with VP HRBL to enable people agenda across Digital and Tech. This will include operationalizing HR Strategy with a focus on leading strategic projects that run across all Digital and Technology teams in partnership with other HRBLs on the team.
  • Contribute to identifying and developing high-potential talent and the creation of succession plans for grade 3 and above to support business growth, with a strong focus on DEI.
  • Enable organizational change and effectiveness through organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Partner with HR Centres of Excellence to ensure effective delivery and use of enterprise HR programs and initiatives, with a focus on Leadership capability, Talent management, DEI, Culture and Capability, including digital skills and development.
  • Champion, advocate, and work to continuously improve the HR function, assuming collective responsibility for the reputation of HR.
  • Demonstrate 'Enterprise thinking' by partnering with other HR groups (Talent and Capability function, Regional HRBLs, Country HR Heads and HR Hubs) as 'One' to deliver the most appropriate and effective HR solutions required by your client groups.
  • The role also has HRBL responsibility for Commercial and CPO facing Tech organisations, partnering directly with senior leaders to understand business goals and provide HR business partnering support. Key focus areas would include:
    • Support critical business areas focused on enabling the business to deliver the Ahead Together priorities by translating and delivering the people strategy through flawless execution and operational support.
    • Diagnose, define, and execute the appropriate HR interventions required to pull through the business strategy, improve performance and develop the organization.
    • Act as a strategic thought partner and advisor for senior business leaders across the Commercial and CPO facing Tech organisation, advising, coaching and ensuring the consistent delivery of excellence across the HR agenda.
    • Drive the Talent Management strategy with business leaders, ensuring a strong bench strength of talent for all critical and priority roles at different levels of the organization by coaching senior leaders and ensuring business ownership / follow through of all talent activities.
    • Apply critical thinking and sound judgement within the context of GSK reward strategy, together with reward experts, to balance organization and employee needs to support key attraction, retention, and engagement activities.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to senior leaders on People strategy, policies, and procedures.
    • Enable the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, career development, and offboarding for the aligned teams.
    • Enable employee engagement strategies to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Provide guidance and support on more complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and company policies.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals

  • Bachelor's degree in HR/Business Administration/or related field. Master's degree preferable
  • Strong HR Business Partnering experience in fast-moving, complex, and demanding environments, balancing operational delivery with strategic impact and/or consultancy.
  • Experience of working/partnering with Digital and Technology organizations/divisions preferred.
  • Experience in leading indirect HR teams to deliver high quality outcome.
  • Experience in leading large transformation programs that enhance organizational capability, culture, and performance.
  • Experience in talent initiatives that have impacted business performance and capability.
  • Strong understanding of workforce analytics and ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Employee relations experience is preferably required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
