As a Bioinformatics Specialist at VE3, you will develop and apply computational and statistical methods to analyze complex biological data. Working in collaboration with a diverse team, including scientists, data analysts, and IT professionals, you will support projects like digital twin solutions and AI-driven research.

You will harness large language models (LLMs) for data analysis and interpretation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and applying bioinformatics pipelines and algorithms for high-throughput sequencing data analysis.
  • Conducting data mining, integration, and visualization of large-scale biological datasets.
  • Using LLMs for data interpretation, literature review, and generating biological insights.
  • Staying updated on advancements in bioinformatics, computational biology, AI, and LLM technologies.
  • Contributing to scientific publications and grant applications.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python and R.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases such as BLAST, BWA, GATK, SAMtools, and others.
  • Experience in high-throughput sequencing data analysis and a solid statistical background.
  • Experience with LLMs and their application in bioinformatics.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques in biological data analysis.
  • Understanding of AI and its role in bioinformatics.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in bioinformatics software and tools such as Bioconductor and Galaxy.
