Job Summary

A wonderful opportunity is available for a passionate individual to join the Research, Development, and Innovation (R, D & I) department at UHB. The position is a full-time, permanent role within the Core Delivery team at Heartlands Hospital for a HIV & Sexual Health Research Nurse. The successful candidate will primarily coordinate research studies in collaboration with the Core Delivery team in the HIV and sexual health sector.

The ideal candidate should showcase relevant research or clinical experience in HIV and sexual health, preferably within the NHS. The role involves working both autonomously and as part of a team, managing current clinical research trials, and assisting in setting up new studies.

Main Job Duties

As a Research Nurse, you will focus on delivering specialized, patient-centered, evidence-based care aligned with protocols and best practices. Your responsibilities include ensuring high-quality patient care following Trust policies, R&D guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Compliance with regulations and good clinical practices is essential for delivering top-notch research.

The role entails frequent patient interaction, overseeing various research projects within the core delivery team, and prioritizing the well-being and safety of research participants while ensuring data accuracy and reproducibility.

Successful candidates are required to be a level 1 Registered Nurse and show willingness to undergo training for additional responsibilities such as venepuncture and cannulation.
