We can offer and encourage learning and training opportunities to expand your skillset as well Currently, our team consists of 18 general radiologists with various subspecialties, including breast, upper/lower GI, musculoskeletal, urology, paediatrics and more.
Radiology is located in the main BTH site and offers CT, MRI, US, PF, NM, DEXA Mammography and non-vascular intervention.
Our refurbishment of the Central Radiology department in early 2021 has led to a cutting-edge diagnostic department, with a future-proofed capital replacement programme in place.
Along with our ambitious plans for the future, we are also investing in artificial intelligence solutions within our department.The clinical commitments of this post will include responsibility for provision of all aspects of a Diagnostic Radiology Service at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals (BTH) NHS FT, including CT, MRI, Plain Film, NM, and Ultrasound.
There may also be an occasion a requirement to provide diagnostic reports on patients at CDC sites and community hospitals.
It offers several scenic cycling routes round our local parks and across the surrounding countryside, as well as boasting panoramic views of the coast on its picturesque Promenade.
Further afield, Blackpool also benefits from less than three-hour connections via rail to Edinburgh in the north and London in the south.
