An exciting opportunity has become available within our Dispensary at Bunbury Medical Practice, we are looking for a new prescription clerk to join our team The Practice is situated in the heart of Bunbury, a small idyllic village, were we offer care to almost 5,500 patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who thrives in working as part of a team, the department is fast paced but very friendly, and although we are a busy Practice we like to ensure our staff enjoy their time at work.
The Practice is run out of a purpose built building in the heart on Bunbury Village and consists of 2 GP Partners, 3 salaried GP's, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a Practice Nursing team, Dispensary and Reception team.
There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
v To ensure the safe and correct transfer of dispensed items to patients
v To accurately maintain Patient Medication Records (PMR) to ensure patient safety and in accordance with data protection requirements
v To identify medicine related problems or queries and bring these to the attention of the dispenser
v To answer queries on the supply and availability of medicines, where it is within your competence
v To receive stock in accordance with SOPs
v To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines
v To assist with stock control and the maintenance of reasonable stock levels within the retail environment
v To liaise with other healthcare professionals to assist in the continuity of patient care across primary and secondary care
v To send Text messages to patients to inform their medication is ready for collection
v To refer to the dispenser when appropriate
v Replenish stock
v Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 13 per week

From £10.42 per hour

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
