Overview:

Our client is a leading architecture and planning practice in Truro, Cornwall, specialising in bespoke residential and commercial projects.

They are currently seeking an experienced Design Director with at least ten years post
  • Part 3 experience to lead their dynamic design team, composed of architects, architectural technologists, technicians, town planners, and landscape architects.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, creative flair, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion, with responsibility for delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the architectural design team, ensuring high standards of design and technical delivery.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through to completion.
  • Work closely with in-house town planners and landscape architects to integrate planning and landscape considerations into architectural designs.
  • Ensure all projects comply with UK building regulations and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide strong technical knowledge, particularly at the detailing stage.
  • Engage in high-end residential design, ensuring creativity and excellence in all aspects of work.

Essential Skills and Experience:
* 10+ years post
  • RIBA Part 3 experience.
  • ARB accreditation and membership.
  • Proven excellence in high-end residential design.
  • Extensive new build experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations.
  • Proficient in 3D drawing software.
  • Experience managing teams and delivering residential projects in the UK.
  • Full driving licence and use of a vehicle.

Desirable Skills:

  • ArchiCAD.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop #J-18808-Ljbffr
