We are seeking an advanced counsellor to support the provision of high quality counselling within a multi-disciplinary team of therapists.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop the counselling team, whilst maintaining a strong clinical focus and counselling case load.
This is a mixed clinical and development role supporting the delivery of an exceptional quality, cost effective NHS Talking Therapies service which meets performance targets against quality and satisfaction measures.
The advanced counsellor will have the ability to inspire and support a team to ensure they deliver high quality PCE-CfD based counselling interventions, and will work with others to improve organisational performance.
The person needs to be highly motivated to deliver change; build relationships and support the team to provide outstanding services for the local population.
The post holder requires developed clinical expertise with demonstrable experience of working as an accredited counsellor. They will carry a case load alongside providing clinical supervision and Duty support.The main aims of the role are to support the Clinical Lead in ensuring the counselling team delivers a dynamic, effective and efficient service:
Drawing on developed specialist skills in assessment and psychological therapies, the post holder will hold a clinical caseload including more complex cases as appropriate at step 3.
The post holder will be part of the Duty Manager team, which include risk management and therapist support as well as managing issues that arise across the service Provide high quality supervision and support the design and implementation of workforce development programmes for all staff working in the NHS Talking Therapies Service.
Support the development of clinical aspects of service development- e.g. integration with Primary Care Networks and Neighbourhoods, and developing treatment pathways. To be an innovator who embraces change and strives for excellence
