Location: Hybrid with 2 days per week from Ipswich office

What's the opportunity

As a UX/UI Designer, you will have the opportunity to:

· Directly influence business outcomes such as time to recruit, recruitment conversion, placement fill rates, candidate churn, user engagement, NPS and App Store reviews

· Work closely with product, engineering, marketing and business stakeholders to deliver on an exciting vision for the product while solving problems for our customers and candidates

· Regularly conduct user research to develop user empathy and qualitative understanding and share insights with the wider business

· Create prototypes and run experiments to test hypothesis, to ensure we're continually delivering value for our users

· Monitor product metrics to quantitively measure product success and inform design decisions

· Contribute to our visual language and lay the foundations for a design system to ensure a consistent and on brand experience across products

· Be a champion for the end user while balancing technical and business value considerations

Skills and Experience:

About You

· You're a great communicator, able to work closely with technical and non-technical audiences. You can switch between in-the-details discussions to a high-level view depending on your audience

· You're enthusiastic about building empathy with our end users, whether customers, candidates or internal stakeholders and are excited to design products that make a real difference in their lives

· You're pragmatic about making objective design choices while advocating for the best user experience

· You're curious, are constantly asking 'why' and have a growth mindset that enables you to always be learning

To excel in this role, you should:

· Have at least 3 years experience working in a technology company as a UX/UI designer and understand the different skillsets required across both UX and UI

· Have worked within a cross-functional team, working closely with product and engineering to ship products in an agile software development environment

· Be a hybrid designer, able to lead on both user experience and user interface design

· Have practical experience with common research approaches and can talk to the strengths of different methodologies depending on the context

· Demonstrate a love for designing simple, intuitive and delightful user interfaces and care about design details

· Be comfortable using modern design tools (i.e. Figma) to communicate design decisions and create prototypes

· Be familiar with technical constraints and limitations when designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile, Android and iOS apps

Nice to have:

· Experience in the healthcare industry

· Experience or knowledge of workforce applications

Salary: Up to £50,000
