The Head of People will play a crucial role in shaping the organisational culture and ensuring that the company's most valuable asset, our people, are empowered to thrive.

They will collaborate closely with other leaders to develop and execute strategies that support the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent.

By fostering a positive employee experience and providing the necessary resources and support, they contribute to the overall success and performance of the organisation.

Reporting directly to the CEO underscores the significance of this role in driving the company's mission and objectives forward.

We are an ambitious business with huge growth plans which will include both increases in headcount and evolving management structures.

This person needs to be comfortable and experienced in working with board members and investors.

The Head of People's responsibilities include:

Leadership:
As a member of the leadership team, they actively contribute to shaping the company's vision and strategy, offering insights on how people and culture initiatives can align with overarching goals


Strategy:

They develop and execute comprehensive talent strategies covering the entire employee lifecycle, focusing on enhancing performance, fostering development, boosting engagement, and ensuring retention of top talent

Coaching:
They provide guidance and support to employees at all levels, fostering trust and rapport, and offering coaching particularly in areas such as executive leadership development and employee Inclusion: As an executive champion, they advocate for and drive initiatives to promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workforce, recognizing the value of diversity in driving innovation and organisational success

Culture:
They cultivate a culture that values feedback at all levels, owning and enabling formal performance management processes and ensuring they are effective and constructive

Design:
They design and implement operating models and organisational structures that enhance efficiency and enable success, ensuring that the company's structure supports its strategic objectives

Communications:
They guide internal communications efforts, ensuring alignment between strategic and tactical objectives and enhancing employee experience through effective communication
Rewards

Strategy:

They develop and implement a total rewards strategy that encompasses various elements such as cash compensation, benefits, perks, equity, and other incentives, aligning them with company strategy and employee priorities to drive motivation and retention

About you:


experience developing and implementing HR/People programs and initiatives within collaborative environments, emphasizing best practices.organisational, interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, facilitating effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.business acumen, coupled with analytical prowess and HR expertise, enabling strategic problem-solving and critical decision-making.understanding of employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks within the of cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment, establishing practices and processes to sustain and enhance such culture.ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, leveraging partnerships to drive impactful results.success in leadership, coaching, and team-building, fostering a high-performance culture and developing world-class of progressive experience in relevant roles, including management positions, demonstrating continuous growth and proficiency in HR leadership.

This is not a remote role, the candidate will need to be onsite and present in the business, either living in or commuting daily to Leeds or able to relocate on appointment.
