Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic teacher of PE to join a large secondary academy in Rochdale.


This is a full-time temporary teaching role to cover a recently promoted PE teacher from January 2023 to Easter 2023.

The Role

Teacher of PE

Five days a week 8.15am - 3.45pm

Delivery of practical and theory physical education lessons

Enthusiastic and supportive approach to challenging behaviour

Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of students with a focus on health and wellbeing

Ability to also teach or cover practical dance lessons is desirable


The academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching PE, Sport or to students aged 11 to 18.

To join us and be successful in this Teacher of PE role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
  • Due to the girls needing to be supervised in the changing rooms this role is only open to female teachers.
