We are recruiting for a
Network Manager to join our team at Saint-Gobain Digital in Huddersfield. We operate with hybrid working and flexibility and share knowledge openly and have a very collaborative spirit.

Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure, Platforms and Workplace, you will be responsible for management and planning all Network Infrastructure, including Local and Wide Area Networks, Network Operations Centre and associated suppliers over 600 sites.

Also, you will have line management of the Network Support team, to ensuring they are appropriately skilled, and that resource is allocated to support project work as required.


Experience needed:

  • Proven experience in the Networking space as a Network Manager or strong Network team leader who is ready to take that next step
  • Technical experience is a must and comfortable being hands on.
  • Comfortable managing small to medium sized teams.
  • Experience of coordinating and planning change across a large organisation.
  • Supplier management experience (desirable)
  • Some experience of managing a large corporate network, spanning hundreds of sites (desirable).

Responsibilities:

  • Own the daytoday support and management of SGBD's Network, ensuring that this is performant, available and that any interruptions to the business are minimised.
  • Provide technical oversight of the Network, inputting to architectural decisions and acting as the technical design authority within IT Services.
  • Establish operational procedures to ensure that the Network Support team and Network Operations Centre work together seamlessly to support the business.
  • Undertake technology lifecycle management to ensure that all Network equipment is maintained and patched to current levels, owning a highlevel plan for replacements to allow for budgetary forecasts.
  • Own all tools required to manage the network, ensuring that these are properly managed, maintained and accessible to teams who need them to provide support.
