Mechanical Associate Director - Property Consultant

Up to £75k + 25% bonus (up to £25k) + benefits


One the world most recognised Property Consultants with over 30000 staff across 60+ countries is looking to strengthen their internal MEP Design team to oversee a number of commercial projects as well as help grow the London MEP design team.

This is a fantastic position offering a unique opportunity to join such a well-known property brand at a very strategic level with a path through to Director.

The Associate Director role also comes with a very healthy 25% bonus up to £25k.


Of course, no bonus is guaranteed however the business has an excellent track record of their employees hitting 70% upward of bonus achieved annually.


Purpose of the Role:


The Projects have increased in both size and complexity creating the need for additional Senior level resource to assist the Director with the management of the Service line and workstream.

Additionally, the drive towards Net Zero has created large number of relevant Project opportunities. You will take the lead in overseeing the technical design elements of this type of Projects.

It is expected that you will lead the charge and promote the business by undertaking presentations and offer thought leadership internally and externally.

You will also mentor the Senior engineers on all aspects of technical engineering design.


You will work within the Design and Projects division of the Engineering and Design Consultancy team based in our clients London office.


You will ideally be HND or degree qualified and have attained or be working towards chartered engineer status and should be able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience in a similar role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide input on design strategy and conceptual designs.
  • Undertake design calculations.
  • Design installations to meet all existing, relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and other relevant standards.
  • Design installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements.
  • Work as part of a team to meet project brief and programme requirements.
  • Provide assistance and support to other members of the engineering team within the office. Undertake constructive peer reviews of other design projects.
  • Commit to supporting strategic sustainability policies and our internal environmental programme objectives.
  • Commit to achieving or maintaining Chartered Engineer status through relevant professional institution.
  • Familiarise and learn about sustainable low energy initiatives and to share this with other members of your team and wider within the Partnership.
  • Lead and further develop the mechanical technical design service quality within the firm.
  • Mentor younger engineers and assist with the team's growth.
  • Carry out business development activities and help with winning new work from internal and external clients.
