Youth Support Worker

Lara Search are currently recruiting on behalf of an all-through special school based in New Addington that require 1:1 support workers to support students with severe behaviour and mental health difficulties.

This role will be to start immediately on a full-time basis; Mon-Fri; pm

The pay is £80 - £86 a day.

Job Details:

  • The students within the school have special needs, including Autism, Challenging Behaviour, and Complex Needs.
  • The school will match you with the correct student either within Primary or Secondary phase depending on experience, knowledge, and skillset.
  • This role requires care, commitment, and extreme resilience due to the challenges.
  • We will only be putting forward committed support workers, that can make a difference in their student's school life regardless of the challenges they may face within the role.
Everyday is different within this role

The successful support worker will be required to:

  • To assist with the general welfare and development of pupils.
  • Assisting the teacher in the classroom e.g. offering support in classroom activities with pupils.
  • Assistance with independent training and social skills development of pupils.
  • To support pupils in mainstream lessons, under the guidance and training of appropriate teaching staff.
This role is to start immediately following file and clear enhanced DBS checks
