Your role will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries, as well as educating patients on preventive healthcare practices. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations in emergency settings
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies, to determine the best course of treatment
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, injuries, and infections
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs, medical guidelines, and urgent care protocols
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment
- Provide counseling and education to patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care in the emergency department
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic medical documentation
Requirements:
- Valid registration and licensure as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner in the United Kingdom
- Certification as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner or in a relevant specialty
- Proven experience as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills in emergency care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and other healthcare technology
