About the role:

The Desktop Assessor is responsible for accurately assessing property damage through various assessing platforms such as desktop, virtual, and on-site assessments if needed.

They play a crucial role in determining claim quantum and scope as per the relevant PDS. By engaging with customers and supporting Claim Managers, Desktop Assessors provide exceptional service, ensuring customers feel reassured throughout the claims process.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Delivering professional and customer-centric service during virtual and desktop assessments.
  • Proactively communicating advice, solutions, and claim progress to stakeholders.
  • Identifying customer resolution strategies to prevent escalations.
  • Promoting the benefits of digital experience capabilities to enhance customer interactions.
  • Recognizing and assisting vulnerable customers.
Required skills:
  • Customer service expertise.
  • Insurance and claims process knowledge.
  • Proficiency in assessing property damage.
  • Good communication skills.

  • Industry qualifications in insurance or related fields.
  • Computer literacy and navigation skills.
  • Experience in customer service roles.
