Florist

A Florist at Hetty's Florist, should demonstrate creativity, exhibit dexterity, and display strong interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for managing the timely completion of customer orders and delivery. You should also advise customers on floral gifting and help choose appropriate gift baskets.

In addition, you should be able to consult with customers on their budget and preferences and accordingly provide a quote.

You should also make note of any special requests such as including a personalized happy birthday message or any other wishes.

Apart from these, your other responsibilities include regularly changing the in-store and window displays and maintaining cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers in ordering flowers via phone or inperson
• Offering customers suggestions on colour schemes, flower arrangements, and design
• Delivering flowers on time or arranging for alternatives
• Cleaning, cutting, and watering flowers and foliage to maintain longevity
• Making traditional birthday flowers, wedding decorations and wreaths
• Maintaining an inventory of flowers, plants, and gifts
• Purchasing freshest flowers and other decorative supplies from wholesalers
• Maintaining the proper condition of decorative tools like wires, shapers, pins, and foam
• Fulfilling lastminute gift requests
• Ensuring proper packing of bouquets and other items
• Maintaining an accurate financial record of customer orders
• Regularly changing window displays and instore collections
• Providing sound expertise to customers about flower handling and maintenance
• Supervising the decoration of event venues and vehicles
• Maintaining cleanliness of the display station
• Arranging and placing orders for seasonal flowers online
• Maintaining a daily record of sales
• Keeping good relations with third party organisations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2year floristry working experience
• Knowledge of both fresh flowers and design techniques
• Excellent customer service skills and an artistic ability
• An eye for detail and an innovative approach
• Good interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Knowledge and ability to operate florist apps
• Having a friendly personality
• Being able to liaise with our other branch
