Malmesbury, Wiltshire, United Kingdom Dyson Full time
About us

At Dyson we challenge convention, continually experiment, and see opportunities where others see problems.

The way we produce content is no different - we've always set ourselves the challenge of using innovative approaches that others wouldn't think of.

This is a continual focus as our competitors get better and faster at copying us, so trying new things is an ingrained way of working and culture.

Our Delivery Operations team are responsible for initiating and delivering projects that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and risk profile within Commercial Delivery.

The team govern our operating models, ensuring they are adhered to by both Dyson and our suppliers. They are responsible for adding tangible value to our operations.

We're committed to our campus culture and want to have people collaborating, developing, and learning from each other, five days a week.

By having everyone on campus together, we have been able to nurture a fantastic social and dynamic environment.

About the role

This is a fixed-term, maternity cover role, set to last for circa 12 months.

As our Delivery Operations Lead, you will be responsible for business partnering with specific areas of the Commercial department to initiate and deliver projects to solve business challenges and improve ways of working.

You will specifically focus on the growth and development of our content production processes (circa £40m) bringing together our global production processes with a series of smaller projects.

Your projects will be critical to our 2025 strategy and will report directly into Regional Presidents and the Exec to both quantify and review proposals to drive significant change.

You will answer to our function directors and work closely with Subject Matter Experts within project teams and specifically with external suppliers, Procurement and Legal, to ensure that the best models are being delivered to support the change required.

When initiating projects, you will identify the resources required to support the commencement and delivery of the projects, looking at the required skillsets inhouse, or otherwise externally where required.

You will standardise processes, work with suppliers to define key deliverables and success factors and negotiate fees in line with budgets.

Using either internal resource or external auditors, you will review and define the existing landscape to identify problem areas.

Where problem areas exist, you will define a target operating model (TOM) and improvement opportunities, looking at the scale of the transformation required.

You will design governance frameworks to ensure that appropriate MI data is produced to understand performance, enabling appropriate action thereafter.

You will work closely with our Procurement and Legal functions, to define the correct service agreements and to draft Commercial and Operational Schedules.

When delivering projects, you will provide operational support to the project teams and consultancies. You will source appropriate data from various sources, putting it into a clear and presentable format for key stakeholders. Once a TOM is agreed, you will manage the deployment of change, providing details to key groups.

You will work closely with supplier delivery teams, IT, solutions architects and PMO, when it comes to the delivery of system implementations.

You will also project manage suppliers, ensuring that they are onboarded properly.

When governing projects, you will manage contracts and scope in line with our latest ways or working.

You will provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual updates to key stakeholders, both internally and externally, providing information on formal supplier reviews and development of action plans against the TOM.
