Support Worker

We are expanding and are looking for staff who can build trust, develop lives, empower people and inspire passion.


Blue Sky Enabling has an exciting job opportunity for an experienced male support worker working in Trowbridge and surrounding areas.

Shifts available will all be in a supported living environment of male service users' own home. Shift patterns available are a mixture of 24 hours shifts including sleep-ins and day shifts.

You would be working in a person-centred way with service users with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs and behaviours.

You will need to hold a manual drivers licence and have experience and driving a van type vehicle.


As part of our collaborative teams, you will be supporting each service user to live a life of their own choosing.

This will include supporting them as required to engage with and manage their personal care and presentation, food preparation, administration of medication and community access.

You will be working across 2-3 individual service packages where you will develop a relationship with each service user.

You will support each service user to engage in appropriate community group activities, do shopping, go out to cafés, have fun and participate in indoor and outdoor leisure activities of their choosing.

You will encourage and support them to maintain a healthy diet and will promote their health and wellbeing.

You will enable them to live a full and active life, respecting issues around capacity to make their own decisions, equality and dignity.

Some service users have communication issues. Therefore, priority will be given to applicants whose first language is English.

You will be supported to maintain training relevant to this role.

Further information about our service users will be provided to the successful applicant at company induction.

You must live within a 1 hour commute of Trowbridge and surrounding area and you must be able to commute to and from the service users to meet early start times and late finish times.
