About the Role:
MBDA UK is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Software Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformation phase in software development, where engineers are empowered to innovate and create high-quality software solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and supporting Engineering Test Equipment software for testing top-notch missile systems
  • Collaborating with diverse teams across the organization to deliver software capabilities for products from concept to production
  • Experimenting with new technologies to meet customer requirements
  • Implementing real change in software development practices
  • Embracing agility and delivering value to the company
  • Engaging in a lab environment with test equipment and electronic circuitry

Requirements:

  • Experience in software engineering, particularly in test solution development
  • Proficiency in C/C++ with knowledge of C# and scripting languages
  • Experience with tools like Lab Windows CVI or Test Stand is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous work in an agile development team
  • Understanding of automation, continuous integration, and DevOps principles
  • Knowledge of electronics measurement and debug techniques
  • Familiarity with communication interfaces such as TFTP, Ethernet, RS232, RS422, RS485, Modbus, CAN, and 1553 buses
  • Advocacy for software craftsmanship practices
